Toyota wheel studs stretching and breaking off while driving.i work in the automotive field and have encountered many times where toyota wheel studs will not torque properly. When using a torque wrench to tighten the nuts sometimes they will not click. If you continue the stud snaps in half and the lug nut spins right out. The chrome plated wheels were purchased from & installed by toyota dealer when i bought the car. The plating started to peel off since early 2000. Then, my tires (no matter what brand of the tires i used) showed leaking on two of them due to the serious corrosion of the rims. I have to pump the air every week in order to maintain the correct pressure as of today. It's getting worse... I believe this is the issue…
