In oct2017. I took my car in for an oil change do to an oil bell telling me oil was low. They told me there was no oil in there at all..and could not find any leak. They tell me it is the pistons and oil consumption problem. I now have to add 2 quarts of oil a week of my own. I never got a letter from toyota stating a problem or how to fix it..i want it fixed.

Toyota issued tsb for "excessive oil consumption". I went to the dealership for their 'test' (i.e., more than 1 qt of oil in 1,200 miles) and just barely "passed". But the problem grows worse over time and now burns oil extremely quickly. But toyota told me today that since the care is now more than 10 years old, there is nothing they will do for me. Why won't toyota just do a "recall" to fix this obvious problem?

Takata recall: i took my 2007 toyota camry 4 cyl for the bulletin it has of oil consuption and it pass the test twice, i knew there was something wrong but as the technicians told me it was okay i drove it like that for some months still had to add every 1,000 miles 1 q of oil.
