On 07/13/10 has an accident in a 2010 camry. Was coasting into parking space infront of hess gas station and car suddenly accelerated without pressing on the gas. Driver first noticed a problem when she came to a stop at a traffic light. The camry started revving the engine even though driver was depressing the brake pedal; at this point the traction light came on. This is an ongoing problem. Whenever i hit a pothole or a bump and i hit my brakes to slow down, the car makes this really loud grinding sound and the car does not stop at all and keeps accelerating. I was driving my 2003 toyota camry on highway with cruise control on interstate i-40. I was driving 55 mph along a construction zone when it suddenly speed up, became uncontrollable and crash into the wall. I was unable to stop the vehicle by pumping on the brake and it was finally stopped when the vehicle was deep in the sand on the side of the highway. The vehicle was a total loss due to its severe damages.
